NYMTC launches new, interactive Web site for 2040 Regional Transportation Plan
The New York Metropolitan Transportation Council (NYMTC) is currently in the process of preparing the 2040 Regional Transportation Plan, which will outline the transportation planning for the Lower Hudson counties of Westchester, Rockland and Putnam along with Suffolk and Nassau counties on Long Island and will include the five boroughs of New York City. NYMTC views participation by the region’s diverse population as a vital component in the formulation of the 2040 Regional Transportation Plan.

To this end, a new interactive Web site was launched to make it easier for people to share their concerns and ideas, provide feedback and participate in the development of the Regional Transportation Plan. In addition to the Web site, NYMTC is preparing a series of open houses.
