Westchester County’s “Be Educated About Transit” is a classroom-based program.

It teaches students the skills needed to ride public buses in a safe and responsible manner and develops in students a more positive attitude towards public transit.

The B.E.A.T Program will:

  • teach students important bus safety rules
  • familiarize students with key passenger skills to successfully ride the bus
  • explore the environmental benefits of public transit

The 40-minute interactive presentation by a B.E.A.T. representative is accompanied by an activity book and teacher’s guide to reinforce key concepts.
